Hide Those Tatoos, Leis tells Deputies
Simon Leis is banning tattoos - at least visible ones - on his deputies.
From now on, uniformed officers with tattoos on their arms must wear long-sleeved uniforms all summer to cover them up, and all new hires will be forbidden from having tattoos that can be seen when wearing a short-sleeved shirt.
“It just is not the right image,” said Leis, who does not have any tattoos.

The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) of Hamilton and Clermont counties is the official fraternal organization for police officers and sheriffs in both counties and is known as lodges 84/113 in Hamilton county and lodge 112 in Clermont county.
Currently we are involved in several fundraising campaigns including the Youth Drug Awareness campaign as seen in the far right column on this page.
We encourage you to contribute to this worthwhile effort by purchasing an ad in our Policeman’s Yearbook . (see rates here). The Policemen’s yearbook is distributed throughout Hamilton and Clermont counties and read by everyone within the law enforcement community.
Presently our greatest concern is the havoc meth is causing among our youth. If you seen the video on this page you know that meth has good cause for being called the most dangerous drug on the streets today. What you may not know is that meth is not being manufactured in peanut butter, chocalate, and strawberry flavors to entice youth.
Help us drug-proof our youth. Education is the key.
If you have been contacted by the FOP give generously.
